COMMENTS INVITED: SERIES OF CROP SPECIFIC BIOLOGY DOCUMENTS

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) have initiated the preparation of a “Series of Crop Specific Biology Documents” for use as reference in evaluation of genetically engineered (GE) crops. To start with, five crop specific documents have been prepared and are placed at the following links.

1. COTTON
2. BRINJAL
3. MAIZE
4. OKRA
5. RICE

Comments are invited from stakeholders on the above and will be received upto January 7, 2009. The comments may be sent to:
